This upcoming weekend I’m playing three shows in the Davis/Porter Squares area in Somerville and Cambridge.
On Saturday (January 19th), I have two gigs with Cold Chocolate. First we’ll be at the Somerville Winter Farmers Market (at the Amory on Highland Ave) serenading produce purchases from 12-2 pm. We’ll be hyping up our show that evening–at 7:30 pm we’ll be at Toad in Porter Square. Toad’s been a great venue for us the past couple times we’ve played there. It’s a small feat that we all fit on stage, but besides from that, it’s a really relaxed bar with a great, friendly crowd.
Then on Sunday (January 20th), I’ll be playing at another pleasant bar with Kara Kulpa. We’ll be in the back room of the Burren for their Sunday Songwriter Series. Kara’s a great folkly singer/songwriter, and I’ll be backing her up on bass and voice (as well as a little ukulele) along with Ariel Bernstein on drums. Show starts at 8 pm.
