Cold Chocolate and Acousticana at Sally O’Briens

Tomorrow night (Thursday, August 23rd) I’m going to be playing all night at Sally O’Brien’s in Union Square in Somerville.

First, I’ll be sitting in with Acousticana at 9 pm–they’re a mix of bluegrass, roots, Cajun, and country. For this show, the band consists of two guitars, mandolin, upright bass, accordion (!), lots of vocals, and several other special guests throughout the set. They picked a fun mix of original and covers, it should be a fun set.

Then, around 10:30 pm Ethan Robbins & Cold Chocolate will take over with longer-than-usual set, which will feature the debut of atleast one tune (and possibly some new harmonies by James and Ariel). It’s been awhile since the full band has played a show in the Boston area, we’re looking forward to it.

As usual with Sally’s, there’s no cover (though tips and cd sales are greatly appreciated!) and music will go on as long as there’s a crowd to play to.
