Box Five Edgar Allan Poe Tour

During October, Box Five will be going on a mini-tour along the east coast, performing in a number of cities where Edgar Allan Poe lived (for a complete tour schedule, click here). Box Five will be performing with local bands in every city, as well as a couple other touring bands. At the end of each show, there will be a collaborative performance of “The Raven”, with each band performing several stanzas of the poem in order, however they see fit.

I will be playing with Box Five at both the Boston and the Philadelphia shows. Additionally (since Ariel and I both play with Box Five), Bottom of the Well will also be making a short guest appearance as part of “The Raven” performance (stanzas 13-15!).

Here are the details for the shows I’m involved with:

On Wednesday, October 5th we’ll be playing at the Somerville Theater (55 Davis Square in Somerville, MA) at 8 pm (doors open at 7:30 pm). Along with Box Five and Bottom of the Well, the lineup includes What Time is it Mr. Fox?, Molly Zenobia, WHY ARE THOSE GIRLS SO LOUD it’s cause we’re jewish, UnAmerika’s Sweetheart Karin Webb, Jill Gibson, and Alexanda Day. In addition to seeing the show, also be sure to check out The Museum of Bad Art in the basement of the Somerville Theater. It’s “the world’s only museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition and celebration of bad art in all its forms.”

Then, I’ll be rejoining the tour at its last stop, on Sunday, October 16th at L’etage (624 South 6th Street, Philadelphia PA). Doors open at 7:30pm and music starts at 8. In addition to Box Five and Bottom of the Well, also performing are Alexanda Day, Andrew Lipke, Ms. Fridrich, and Sonja Sofya.
